Continuing with the question “What made today better than yesterday?”, I reached a new milestone!
I didn’t have to use the walker at all today, but instead walked using the cane. This is huge because now I don’t have to rely on Jimmy to carry the walker up and down the stairs.
Jimmy has been a great helper, but sometimes he has an attitude of reluctance. I really try to be grateful for his help, but when he complains about “waiting on me hand and foot,” it makes me sad. Anyway, enough about that. Let’s get back to positivity!
Tonight, James is having a small gathering of friends to celebrate someone’s 21st birthday. He grilled chicken and Jimmy roaster asparagus. For the first time since my surgery, I ate dinner at the kitchen table. The food was delicious and the simple act of eating a meal at a table made me feel wonderful.
