I decided to step out of my normal routine of making these recipes on the weekend and chose to make these cookies for Jimmy (and me) for Valentines Day. A true labor of love, these take a while to prepare. Even before encasing a chocolate kiss in cookie dough, the recipe instructs you to chill the dough for an hour. This seemed like overkill when I first started the process, but worked out well – by the time I got to cookie number 30, the dough was very soft.
They looked and smelled amazing, and it was a challenge to wait until they cooled down before sampling them. This recipe exceeded my expectations and I will be making it again. Another solid 10 in the scorebook!
